Want A Paintball Business?

Going Into the Paintball Business? Take a Good Hard Look!!

So, you think you want to open your own paintball field! You love the game the enjoy playing? Playing and enjoying the game and opening a paintball field as a business are two entirely different things!!! First, determine if there is enough interest in y our area to support a paintball field. There is a difference in a few good old boys getting together and doing some shooting and serious paintball players who will support a field. Is there a team in your area? Are there enough players to make up a good team who are interested in making the commitment with you and support your field? Having one or more teams makes for a good base for the opening of a field and then the others will come!!

Consider what you are getting into. Visit as many different fields as possible and make notes on the operations, good a bad, of each. Determine how your field can be better!! Weigh the pros and cons. What are they offering the players? How are they set up? What are the rules and regulations? What is the type and quality of the supplies offered?

Make sure that property you own or are going to buy is zoned for paintball. The local zoning commission can help you there. If it isn't they can guide you in the process to get it rezoned.

Think you need help? Not quite ready to step out on your own? Try going to fields far away from you and seeing if one of them will open a "branch" field on your property for a cut of the profits.

Be sure you figure out all the monetary investment. You will need insurance, product, buildings and out buildings, field equipment, referees and their uniforms just to name a few. Taxes are also a consideration.

It can be a good and profitable business if you go into it with you eyes open and have a good business plan. If you are going to be asking for financial investments you might consider having a professional draw up a business plan for you.

Finally, if all seems good and right, GO FOR IT!! And Good Luck!! This article and others appear at www.paint-ball.supply.com
